Spydeberg to Solbergfoss
Solbergfoss Hydroelectric Power Station (Norwegian: Solbergfoss kraftverk) is a run-of-the-river hydroelectric power station on the Glomma, in Indre Østfold municipality, Østfold county, Norway.
When you arrive at Solbergfoss, you will see the impressive power plant and dam. You can walk across the pond at Solbergfoss to the Askim side. There is a picnic area and an established viewpoint. There is also a nice swimming spot at Solbergfoss.
Construction of the power station began in 1913. It was operational in 1924.
Some information. You can easily bring your bike from Oslo central station and get off at Askim or Spydeberg and take this roundtrip. It is an easy tour on backcountry roads or gravel path.
