Solbergfoss to Askim via abandoned trainline
Solbergfosslinna runs between Askim center & Solbergfoss power station. What used to be a railroad line is now a gravel path. It is a popular walk in summer and a ski slope in winter.
When you arrive at Solbergfoss, you will see the impressive power plant and dam. You can walk across the pond at Solbergfoss to the Spydeberg side. There is a picnic area and an established viewpoint. There is also a nice swimming spot at Solbergfoss.
Please note that this trip is from Solbergfoss power station to Askim center and it´s train station. I took a round trip Askim to Spydeberg and from Spydeberg to Solbergfoss power station. These videos will soon be released.
Last year I went from Enebakk to Solbergfoss, I´ll make sure to add a link in the video. Some information. You can easily bring your bike from Oslo central station and get off at Askim or Spydeberg and take this roundtrip. It is an easy tour on backcountry roads or gravel path.
